Conserving soil is a critical step when it comes to developing a sustainable production system. Dana Jokela, a graduate student in the Sustainable Vegetable Production Lab, is currently studying how tillage practices affect crop yield and soil characteristics in organic pepper and broccoli production. This project is being supported by Ceres Trust and USDA-SARE. Here is the synopsis and results from the project so far.
